The Federal Emergency Management Agency or FEMA is cutting $325 million in grants intended for New York.
Much of that money was to go toward flood mitigation in vulnerable areas of New York City that were impacted by Hurricane Sandy and Hurricane Ida.
Several projects in Central Harlem, lower Manhattan and Corona East will be halted — putting thousands at risk of the consequences of flooding.
