A married, gay couple from Brooklyn claims their foster children were removed from their home because of a series of unfounded allegations made against them for being a same-sex couple. They couple also believes the allegations were made as retaliation after they were outspoken about what they perceived to be mismanagement of their foster children’s case.

Councilmember Althea Stevens, who chairs the Committee on Children and Youth, “The Rush Hour” on Thursday to talk about reform within the city foster care service, and how cases of abuse are tracked and monitored by the Administration for Children’s Services.
