Retired NYPD detective Louis Scarcella is back on the news.
The former member of the Brooklyn North Homicide Squad has faced a litany of allegations of misconduct over a period of time in the 1980s and 1990s. And as of late last year, at least 20 defendants have had their convictions vacated in cases that Scarcella had investigated.
The Brooklyn district attorney’s office is continuing to investigate cases the disgraced detective worked on.
On Monday, there is a recent development in the Scarcella investigations and it involves attorney Ron Kuby, who represents two men wrongfully convicted in Scarcella cases was on the receiving end of a computer mistake.
He joined “The Rush Hour” to talk about what happened, and the latest in former President Donald Trump’s criminal trial.
