Some of the city’s most iconic landmarks were inspired by the architectural design of Art Deco.

It started in Europe in the early 1900s and came to New York during the Roaring ‘20s.

The Art Deco Society of New York is celebrating 100 years of style with a series of events.

Linda Zagaria, vice president of the Art Deco Society of New York, and Anthony Robbins, historian and author of the book “New York Art Deco: A Guide to Gotham’s Jazz Age Architecture,” joined “The Rush Hour” on Friday to discuss the group’s kick-off weekend of events, and the impact of Art Deco.
