BUFFALO, N.Y. — Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin was none too happy Tuesday with a report that he may want out of Buffalo.

On the "Spittin' Chiclets" podcast, former NHL player and media personality Paul Bissonnette claimed he heard the Sabres captain met with General Manager Kevyn Adams and told him if things don't improve, he would request a trade.

After practice, Dahlin said he did meet with Adams about the future of the team but never gave that ultimatum.

"I don't know what he's talking about. I have never said I wanted out of here,” Dahlin said. “I am not happy where we are at. I don't want to lose. We have to get better. But I never said I wanted out of here, I thought that was pretty clear.

"That bugs me, actually. I get pissed off by that. I haven't even mentioned the word ‘leave.’ So yeah, that’s just how it is."

Dahlin also said while he's not happy with losing, he wants to be part of the team's turnaround.

"We have a lot of really, really good competitors who want to turn this around," he said. "That's what gives me the most hope.”

The Sabres are on the road Wednesday night with a game at the Detroit Red Wings.
