The Buffalo Sabres have acquired center Josh Norris and defenseman Jacob Bernard-Docker from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for forward Dylan Cozens, defenseman Dennis Gilbert and a second-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, the team announced Friday.

Norris, a 25-year-old center, has 33 points in 53 games this season and is signed through 2030. The former first-round pick scored a career-high 35 goals in 2021-22.

Bernard-Docker, a right-handed defenseman and also a former first-round pick, has 20 points in 129 career games with Ottawa.

Cozens, 24, ends his Sabres career 197 points over five seasons. The former alternate captain signed a seven-year contract extension in February 2023.

Gilbert, a Buffalo native, played in 25 games with the Sabres this past season, adding grit to the backend.

In deals at the buzzer, the Sabres traded forward Nicolas Aube-Kubel to the New York Rangers for defenseman Erik Brannstrom, and traded defenseman Henri Jokiharju to the Boston Bruins for a 2026 fourth-round pick.

The Sabres also re-signed forward Jason Zucker to a two-year contract extension. The deal's average annual value is worth $4.75 million a year. The 32-year-old has 44 points in 54 games this season. He was set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

The signing comes two days after the team inked forward Jordan Greenway also to a two-year deal.
