Aaron Judge is reportedly staying in pinstripes.

The reigning AL MVP has reached an agreement with the Yankees on a nine-year, $360 million contract, according to multiple published reports.

Judge set an American League record last season by hitting 62 home runs. He became the sixth person in MLB history to hit 60 or more home runs in a season.

His future with the Yankees was up in the air going into last season after he rejected a seven-year, $213.5 million contract offer just before the season started. His new reported deal is for an extra two years and $146.5 million more than that original offer.

A four-time All-Star, Judge has played his entire career with the Yankees, who first called him up to the majors in August 2016.

In his first full season, in 2017, he hit 52 home runs, the most ever by a rookie in MLB at that time. (That record has since been passed by the Mets' Pete Alonso.)

He missed significant time with injuries in the 2018, 2019 and 2020 seasons, but rebounded to play in 148 games in 2021 and 157 in 2022, the most he has played in a single season.

The Yankees have made the playoffs in each of Judge's full seasons with the team, and have made the American League Championship Series three times (2017, 2019, 2022) in that span, but they have yet to make a World Series appearance during his tenure with the Bronx Bombers. They lost to the Astros in all three of those ALCS appearances, including losing in a four-game sweep last season.
