A man was arrested after fentanyl and cannabis were found at a Bronx residence on Tuesday, the New York City Sheriff's Office said Wednesday.

Police found 10 pounds of cannabis flower and approximately 157 grams of a white substance that tested positive for fentanyl, plus a BB gun and $50,000, according to the sheriff's office.

The drugs were found during the execution of a family court warrant — an order of protection with a firearm search provision, the sheriff's office said.

A 34-year-old man was arrested and charged with felony possession of cannabis and felony possession of a controlled substance as a result of the seizure, according to the sheriff's office.

"Our deputies execute approximately 9,000 orders of protection and extreme risk orders of protection from family court each year. These executions are an effective safety measure to protect victims and remove firearms. When executing these orders of protection, the sheriff's office uncovers other illegal activity, such as the dangerous narcotics seized and removed from our neighborhoods," New York City Sheriff Anthony Miranda said in a statement.
