A 13-year-old boy died in a fire in the East Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn that erupted Sunday morning, according to the NYPD.
The fire broke out near Snyder Avenue and East 34th Street just before 10:30 a.m. and was under control by about 11:40 a.m., according to the FDNY.
The NYPD says three civilians were injured and transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County.
Dillion Waldren-Dickson of Brooklyn was pronounced dead at the hospital due to his injuries, the NYPD said.
The other two individuals, a 50-year-old woman and 21-year-old man, are in stable condition, according to the NYPD.
A firefighter was also seriously injured, and two other firefighters suffered minor injuries, the FDNY said.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire, FDNY officials said.
