NEW YORK — Police are searching for a woman who they say pepper sprayed four women and made anti-Asian statements during a dispute in Chelsea Saturday.
The assault occurred on 14th Street and Ninth Avenue just after 6 p.m. on Saturday, according to police.
Authorities say the victims refused medical attention.
The NYPD Hates Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident.
Police say the suspect is around 50 years old and was last seen wearing a multi-colored orange dress, a pink scarf around her shoulders and sunglasses.
