Many of the recording artists whose music is featured prominently at President-elect Donald Trump’s rallies will appear at his inauguration events.
Lee Greenwood, whose “God Bless the USA” often plays as Trump takes the stage, will perform, as will the Village People, whose “YMCA” hit is now known for the president-elect’s unique dancing style.
“The Trump Vance Inaugural Committee is proud to announce that some of our nation’s most iconic musicians will be participating in the inaugural celebrations,” Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee Co-Chairs Steve Witkoff and Kelly Loeffler said in a statement.
Country music star Carrie Underwood will be the headlining performer at the swearing-in ceremony Monday, performing “America the Beautiful.” Classical-crossover vocalist Christopher Macchio will perform the National Anthem.
Longtime Trump supporter Kid Rock is one of several artists who will take the stage during the Make America Great Again Victory Rally on Sunday. The Village People, Billy Ray Cyrus, Lee Greenwood and the Liberty University Praise Choir will also perform that night.
The Village People will perform again at the Liberty Ball on Monday night after the official swearing-in, along with country superstar Jason Aldean. The Commander in Chief Ball held the same night will feature the country band Rascal Flatts and singer-songwriter Parker McCollum, while the Starlight Ball will feature Gavin DeGraw.
