While President Joe Biden is being asked by several Democratic leaders to step down as the party nominee, Mayor Eric Adams continues to show his support.

Adams was part of a group of mayors who joined a virtual meeting with Biden Tuesday night.

According to the mayor's office, the call took place around 8 p.m. and lasted for about an hour.

"It was great to hear President Biden articulate his vision for the next four months and for the future of our country. The president has a strong record to run on and I look forward to continuing to support him in this race,” Adams wrote in a statement Wednesday.
