Saturday and Sunday marked the first days New Yorkers could cast their votes in the state's presidential primary.

Despite President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump already having secured enough delegates to win their parties’ nominations, thousands headed to the polls over the weekend to cast their ballots.

The New York City Board of Elections broke down the total turnouts each day by borough, with approximately 3,886 turning out Saturday.

Several thousand more New Yorkers cast their votes on Sunday, bringing the total up to around 13,227.

Early voting runs every day through Saturday, March 30.
