“Letters to Trump,” which will be released April 25, includes correspondence from former President Richard Nixon, Princess Diana, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Trump handpicked each letter, which is accompanied by original commentary from the former president and current presidential candidate, said the publisher, Winning Team Publishing.
“Before President Donald J. Trump created the most significant political movement in American history, he had already achieved tremendous success as one of America’s most prominent real estate moguls and acclaimed media personalities,” a description of the book by Winning Team says.
The photo book “reveals part of the incredible private collection of correspondence between President Donald J. Trump and the countless world leaders, celebrities, athletes, and business leaders who shaped the United States and the world!” the description continues.
The book is currently available for preorder for $99. Autographed copies are available for $399.
Winning Team Publishing – a venture by Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. and adviser Sergio Go – also published the former president’s previous book, “Our Journey Together,” a collection of photos from his time in the White House.
Sample pages of “Letters to Trump” released by Winning Team include correspondence from Kim, televangelist Joel Osteen and former National Intelligence Director Ric Grenell.
In his April 2018 letter, Kim wrote told Trump that he intends “to take big steps to resolve existing issues between our two countries and end negative bilateral relations.”
“I’m prepared to cooperate with you in sincerity and dedication to accomplish a great feat that no one in the past been able to achieve and that is unexpected by the whole world,” Kim wrote.
Trump has previously boasted about the “beautiful letters” he received from Kim. The two leaders met face-to-face three times during Trump’s presidency.
Letters from Kim, however, are reportedly among the presidential documents Trump removed from the White House and resisted for months handing over to the National Archives and Records Administration. The Justice Department is currently investigating Trump’s handling of classified and presidential documents.
Axios reported that one of the 150 letters in the book is from daytime talk icon Oprah Winfrey. In the 2000 letter, Winfrey wrote, “Too bad we’re not running for office. What a team!”
In his commentary, Trump wrote that he still considers Winfrey to be “amazing,” but, "Sadly, once I announced for President, she never spoke to me again."
Other letter authors in the book include Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, Mario Cuomo, Arnold Palmer, Jay Leno, Liza Minnelli and Regis Philbin, Axios reported.
