Two of the Democratic candidates for governor, Tom Suozzi and Jumaane Williams, met tonight for a Democratic primary debate on NY1, where they touched on some of their policy proposals, as well as both going after the conspicuously absent incumbent, Kathy Hochul. Political reporters Zack Fink, Courtney Gross and Juan Manuel Benítez analyze the highlights of the televised event, and share their thoughts on some of the night’s more surprising moments.
Additionally, they discuss the end of the state legislative session in Albany, and how it will impact Mayor Adams’ influence on the education system in New York City.
We want to hear from you, especially what you think about the candidates for governor.
