Meanwhile, Mayor Bill de Blasio continues to flirt with a possible candidacy, launching a new statewide education plan. NY1’s Zack Fink, Juan Manuel Benítez and Courtney Gross explain why many are interpreting this move as the unofficial launch of de Blasio’s gubernatorial campaign. They also discuss what Williams’s announcement means for the two other Democratic candidates in the race: Gov. Kathy Hochul and state Attorney General Letitia James.
