As the remnants of Hurricane Ida came pouring down on Wednesday night, it quickly became clear that the city was ill-equipped to respond to the unprecedented flash flooding that caused over a dozen deaths.

NY1’s Juan Manuel Benítez, Courtney Gross and Emily Ngo talk about the devastating impact of global warming on New Yorkers, especially the most vulnerable among us, and explain why the city needs to invest more heavily in climate-resilient infrastructure.
