AUSTIN, Texas — South by Southwest is just a week away, and that means events all across downtown Austin.

But if you couldn’t afford to buy a pass, don’t worry. SXSW has some free events available to everyone.

Here is a list of all the free events this year:

Radio Day Stage - Rivian Park at Brush Square Park

Over on 5th Street, the Radio Day Stage will host a plethora of artists starting March 10 through March 15 from noon to 5 p.m. For the full lineup, click here

International Nights - Rivian Park at Brush Square Park

Artists from all across the globe–including Spain, Czechia, Japan, India and more–will take over the park from 7 to 11 p.m. also starting March 10 through March 15. For the full lineup, click here

EQ Austin Presents - Lefty’s Brick Bar

Heading to 6th Street, local nonprofit EQ Austin is partnering with SXSW to showcase local artists starting March 12 through March 15. The full lineup and times are on the SXSW website

Sleepy Cat Records – Stephen F’s Bar & Terrace

On March 14, Carrboro, North Carolina, label Sleepy Cat Records is hosting a showcase called “Hotel Carolina” featuring artists T.Gold, Lonnie Walker, Skylaw Gudasz, Blue Cactus, Little Mazarn and SunSp.t. The party starts at 7 p.m. and goes until midnight. For more information, click here

Austin Industry Day - Austin Convention Center

On Wednesday, March 12, everyone is welcome to attend Austin Industry Day to explore hundreds of the most cutting edge brands, services and products in the world. Doors open at 9 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. Click here to learn more

Flatstock - Austin Convention Center

Starting March 11 through March 13, the public is welcome to shop for poster art from Flatstock. “Looking for the perfect centerpiece for your gallery wall, a concert poster of your favorite artist, or even a sticker referencing a specific meme from 2011? Flatstock provides an ongoing series of opportunities to see fine poster art in person and to meet the artists who created it,” according to SXSW’s website. Flatstock goes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

NASA House: CreateSpace - Austin Public Library - Central Library

On March 8, NASA will transform the library to create an immersive experience for everyone to learn about space. Doors open at 10 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. To learn more, click here

Museum of the Future - 3rd Street and Congress Avenue

SXSW will bring Dubai’s iconic museum to the Lone Star State starting on March 7 through March 11. According to the SXSW website, the museum will combine “art, technology, and immersive storytelling” to showcase the “world of tomorrow.” For a full list of events and times, click here

The Texas Film Experience - South Lawn of the Texas Capitol

Lights, camera, action! On March 12, Media of Texas invites everyone to experience the world of film production through a live demonstration of every stage of creating a film. The experience starts at noon and goes until 3 p.m. Click here for more information.

Whataburger Museum of Art - Wanderlust Wine Co. - Downtown

The iconic Texas fast-food chain Whataburger is bringing a whole exhibit of fan-created art to SXSW. On March 8 and March 9, experience interactive installations like the Day Dot Room and Table Tent Mugshot Wall from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. More information is available here.
