The home of former NYPD Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey has been raided by federal agents.

Multiple people, including one in an FBI shirt, were seen leaving Maddrey's home Thursday morning.

NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, in a statement posted to X, said Maddrey was suspended from the NYPD Thursday morning, and that the department was working with authorities to investigate allegations against Maddrey.

The move by federal agents comes nearly two weeks after Maddrey issued his resignation amid sexual misconduct allegations, though the reasoning for Thursday’s raid on his home was not immediately clear.

Maddrey's resignation came after a report in the New York Post that an NYPD lieutenant accused Maddrey of demanding sexual favors from a subordinate in exchange for more overtime.

He has denied any wrongdoing.
