Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey's Greatest Show On Earth

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presents the Greatest Show On Earth – trapeze swings, somersaults off teeter-totters, extreme BMX riders, huge ramps on a merry-go-round stage and much more this weekend at the MVP Arena in Albany.  

Shows are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.

Train & Hobby Show of the Hudson Valley

This year's Train & Hobby Show celebrates the 110th anniversary of the Hyde Park Station Museum. It features model trains, a ride-on-railroad for kids, holiday character photo-ops, Polar Express promotions, expanded operating model train layouts and more.

Show time is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday in the Mid-Hudson Civic Center, Poughkeepsie.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

The Cornwall Central High School’s Drama Club presents “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” high school edition.

The play is based on an original story by J. K. Rowling, John Tiffany and Jack Thorne. Showings are set for 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday at the high school, 10 Dragon Drive, New Windsor.

Adirondack Thunder Military Appreciation Night

The Adirondack Thunder is hosting a Military Appreciation Night presented by UA Local 773 Plumbers and Steamfitters at 7 p.m. Saturday, when they take on the Norfolk Admirals in Cool Insuring Arena, Glens Falls.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The first 1,000 adults to the game receive a free Thunder koozie presented by Michelob Ultra. Adirondack will wear special military-themed uniforms that will be auctioned off LIVE after the game to benefit VFW Post 2475.

Holiday Merchant Market

Sand Lake Merchant and the Sand Lake Center for the Arts host the 2nd Annual Holiday Merchant Market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday across their two locations at 2869 and 2880 NY-43 in Averill Park.

This year’s outdoor market has nearly doubled in size with 70 local vendors. There are also several indoor activities planed.

Parking is available at Sand Lake Town Hall, 8428 NY-66 Averill Park.

Holiday Lane at American Christmas

American Christmas opens its showroom, decorated with more than 100,000 lights and transformed into an enchanted walk-through.

This is the third year for the event, which takes place at American Christmas, 30 Warren Place, Mount Vernon in Westchester County.

Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
