Festival of the Little Hills

The Festival of Little Hills is this weekend in St. Charles.

 

The free arts and craft show includes live music, food vendors and more than 300 booths of crafters and artisans.

Brick River Cider is hosting a pumpkin spice cider release party Saturday beginning at 11 a.m.

Prince Tribute Show

 

Fans of Prince can see a live concert experience on Saturday at The Sheldon.

“When Doves Cry – The Prince Tribute Show” is part of a special 40th anniversary celebration of “Purple Rain.”

It includes performances of Prince’s entire “Purple Rain” album and his other greatest hits.

Moonlight Ramble

The 60th Moonlight Ramble bike ride is Saturday night starting at 11 p.m.

 

It will start and finish in Midtown Alley at Locust and Leffingwell.

The Moonlight Ramble Festival will be held at the intersection of Locust and Cardinal, which will include music, registration, packet pickup, UCBC Beer and Fitz Root Beer.

Forest Park run

The I Love Forest Park 5k and Kids Fun Run is Sunday starting at 7 a.m. in the Dennis & Judith Jones Visitor and Education Center Forest Park.

 

The route will go by the park’s landmarks and Nature Reserve. There will be refreshments and awards afterward.

Spine Bookstore and Café is hosting a poetry and open mic night Sunday from 6-10 p.m.

 

The show will feature local poets, and the event is inclusive and supportive.

Pick-your-own apples

Apple season is here, and folks can pick their own apples at Eckert’s Belleville and Grafton farms. 

 

Every Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., customers can gather as many apples as they can carry. The cost is per pound and varies by variety.
