An 8-year-old boy was killed in what police described as a domestic dispute in Queens Thursday evening.

Police said a 29-year-old woman came running out of an apartment building on 94th Avenue in Jamaica around 5:20 p.m., asking for help after being stabbed in the back.

Officers responded to the fifth-floor apartment where they found the suspect holding a 43-year-old man in a headlock with a knife to his throat.

According to police, officers gave at least four commands to the suspect to drop the weapon, then fired one round that struck him when he refused. The suspect was taken to a nearby hospital and was later pronounced dead.

An 8-month-old girl was found at the apartment unharmed, according to the NYPD. The 43-year-old man, who police referred to as the suspect’s father, was also stabbed.
