Runners, to the ready: The New York City Marathon application pool has officially opened to the public.

The application window will be open through March 21 at 11:59 p.m. Runners will find out if they’ve been selected via a drawing one week later, on March 28.

Runners who are not selected will have other opportunities to get into the race, including by raising money for a charity.

This past year, 51,402 runners completed the race through the five boroughs, making it the third largest edition of the New York City Marathon in history.

This year’s race is scheduled for Nov. 3.
