Hundreds gathered in Midtown Manhattan Friday night, protesting the latest airstrikes in Yemen that were carried out by the United States and U.K.
The Pentagon said it's retaliation after weeks of missile attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea by the Houthis, a military group backed by Iran.
The protesters are supporting both Yemen and Palestine, as fighting continues in the Middle East between Israel and Hamas.
Protesters said it's about more than the war.
"We're all connected to stand in support of people when you see an atrocity happening," said protester Justin Pines. "I think people in New York are aware of how bad the shape the city is and they say we don't have money to fix these things, but they have unlimited money to bomb other countries around the world."
Counter-protesters also showed up and began waiving the Israeli flag.
