The Bow Bridge in Central Park has officially reopened after being closed for repairs since late November, park officials said.

The Bow Bridge, located on the lake near Bethesda Terrace in the southern half of the park, is one of the most popular and heavily visited locations in Central Park, according to The Central Park Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that manages the park.

The bridge was closed for extensive repair due to the “immense wear-and-tear” it receives from the public, the conservancy said.

The process included replacing the existing deck with newer, harder wood and painting beams underneath the deck to prevent them from future corrosion.

Other iconic Central Park locations, such as the Great Lawn and the Loeb Boathouse, remain closed. The Great Lawn was closed for the season early after damage following the Global Citizen Festival last fall, but is expected to reopen with restorations in the spring, the conservancy said.
