A 28-year-old man was killed and three others were injured in a shooting at a vigil for a murder victim in the Bronx Wednesday night, according to police.
The group of four had been gathered at East Tremont Avenue and Southern Boulevard when the shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m., authorities said.
Four people were stuck, including the 28-year-old man who was pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to the torso.
Another man, age 46, also suffered a gunshot wound to the torso, police said. Two other victims, 27 and 25, were shot in the leg and arm. All three were transported to nearby hospitals and are listed in stable condition, police said.
The gunman fled on foot, and no arrests have been made.
Police said the victims were gathered at the scene of a vigil for 26-year-old Carlos Gonzalez, who was fatally shot at 4 a.m. Monday at a deli on East Tremont Avenue.
No arrests have been made in connection with that shooting.
