With heavy rain and the potential for a few thunderstorms tonight in the Bronx, Major League Baseball Thursday afternoon announced game two of the Yankees-Guardians ALDS series has been postponed until Friday.

NY1’s forecasts indicate the heaviest of the rain will move through the five boroughs from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The game, instead, will be played Friday at 1:07 p.m.

Those who purchased tickets for Thursday’s wash-out need not worry, though: the New York Yankees said in a tweet that fans’ tickets to Thursday’s game will be valid for Friday’s.

The Yankees won Game 1 Tuesday night with a 4-1 score at Yankee Stadium.

The Bronx Bombers are leading the series over the Cleveland Guardians one game to zero.
