QUEENS — Two men are dead after an ATV collided with a tractor trailer in Long Island City early Friday morning, according to authorities.

The incident happened near Queens Plaza South and Jackson Ave. at approximately 1:45 a.m., police said.

Officials said the two men, both in their 30s, were riding together on the same ATV when it hit a tractor trailer.

Upon arriving to the scene, EMS pronounced one man dead at the scene, and the second man was rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital where he was later pronounced dead,  authorities said.

The driver of the tractor trailer did not sustain any injuries.

Police could not yet verify whether the ATV was legally registered.

An investigation remains ongoing.
