The man accused of shooting 10 people inside a subway station in Sunset Park has been indicted, authorities said.
Frank James was indicted Friday on charges of “terrorist attack and other violence against a mass transportation system and vehicle carrying passengers and employees,” and “disarming a firearm during a crime of violence,” according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District.
Both charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District.
James was arrested in the East Village on April 13, one day after authorities say he put on a gas mask, set off two smoke grenades and opened fire on an N train as it pulled into the 36th Street subway station during the morning rush.
The attack injured 29 people, including 10 people who were shot, the NYPD said.
