NEW YORK — Ellen's Stardust Diner officially reopens Tuesday under new management.
The 1950s themed Times Square restaurant, which features waitstaff who double as performers, held a preview this weekend for family and friends.
It briefly reopened last fall, but was unable to stay afloat without the usual influx of tourists.
During the pandemic, around 200 employees were furloughed with some organizing a relief fund to help struggling coworkers.
