NEW YORK — Election officials will start counting tens of thousands of absentee ballots Monday, which will decide a handful of outstanding races here in the city.

That includes Council District 43 in Brooklyn.

Republican Brian Fox currently leads incumbent Democrat Justin Brannan by around 250 votes.

In District 47, the race between Democrat Ari Kagan and Republican Mark Szuszkiewicz is also too close to call.

Meanwhile in Queens, Republican Vickie Paladino has already declared victory in the race for District 19.

However, Democrat Tony Avella promised not to concede until all votes are counted.
