Former Brooklyn Councilman Chaim Deutsch's has been sentenced to three months in prison for tax crimes he committed while serving the city.
Deutsch pleaded guilty earlier this year for not accurately disclosing income to the IRS from a private real estate management business.
Deutsch evaded more than $82,000 in taxes.
He was removed from the City Council after it was declared he violated his oath of office.
Deutsch represented parts of Brighton Beach, Sheepshead Bay and Midwood.
In addition to prison time, he will also have to serve one year of supervised release, pay a $5,500 and pay more than $100,000 in restitution to the IRS.
