New Yorkers may have already noticed that driving around the city has been tougher as more people return to work and social lives, and now a new study confirms that New York has the worst traffic in the country.
Texas A&M's Transportation Institute found that New York-Newark drivers spent an average of 56 hours stuck in traffic last year.
That's more than two entire days’ worth of sitting in traffic.
After holding the title of worst traffic for nearly 30 years, Los Angeles dropped all the way to fourth with an average of 46 hours last year.
Boston, Houston, and San Francisco round out the top five.
