NEW YORK —  Bronx actor Craig “muMs” Grant has died while working in North Carolina.

Grant, who many simply called "muMs," was widely known for playing Arnold "Poet" Jackson on the acclaimed HBO drama "Oz," and appeared in a number of shows over the years.

He died Wednesday. No cause of death has been released yet.

Grant’s representatives said at the time of his death he was shooting a role on the Starz series "Hightown" in Wilmington, North Carolina. He was set to travel to Atlanta on Monday for work on the BET streaming series "All the Queen's Men"

Grant attended Mount St. Michael High School in the North Bronx.

He began his career in part with the critically acclaimed Nuyorican Poetry Slam team.

Grant was 52 years old.
