You can dance if you want to, you might just have to leave your friends behind.
On Saturday, New York State released new dance floor rules ahead of wedding receptions resuming across the state in two weeks.
Guests will be allowed to hit the dance floor only with members of their immediate party, household or family seated at the same table.
Dancers must wear face masks and stay within their own "dancing areas or zones,” according to the state guidance. Spaces should be at least 36 square feet in size and positioned at least six feet apart from other dance zones and tables. There's no switching dance zones either.
Wedding receptions of up to 150 people can resume on March 15th.
Guests will have to be tested for COVID-19 beforehand and must have proof of a negative test within 72 hours before the wedding, or a rapid test within six hours.
