NEW YORK — The famed Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem is offering vaccinations starting Sunday.

The shots will be given by appointment only to all eligible groups from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m on Monday.

The site is the latest to open this weekend. On Saturday, the city began offering vaccines to New Yorkers 65 and older at three NYCHA sites in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Staten Island. It also opened a 24/7 vaccination site in Corona, Queens.

Beginning the week of January 25, another 24/7 mega site will open in Queens at Citi Field. That location will have the ability to vaccinate up to 7,000 people a day.

The expanding infrastructure comes as Mayor Bill de Blasio warns the city could run out of shots by as early as this week. The dwindling supply forced Mt. Sinai to cancel existing appointments through Tuesday and NYU Langone to stop taking new appointments.
