Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa is slamming NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea for the spike in crime on Manhattan’s West Side and says he's stepping up patrols today.
Sliwa told the Post, it’s “mind boggling what’s happening to our city, you call the cops and they don’t respond.”
He also said that Shea, who lives on the Upper West Side, is “missing in action" while criticizing the hotels there that have transformed into homeless shelters.
The Guardian Angels leader is now assigning 60 people to the area, to work in shifts. He's also telling citizens they need to patrol their neighborhoods to maintain their quality of life.
