ALBANY, N.Y. - With New York's coronavirus numbers remaining stable, the state will send some of its personal protective equipment and test kits to Atlanta.
Friday's delivery will include hundreds of test kits, gowns, gloves, N-95 Masks, face shields.
More than 1,200 gallons of hand sanitizer will also be sent along.
Governor Andrew Cuomo made the announcement after a request from Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms.
Georgia's Public Health Department says that since June first, total confirmed coronavirus cases in the state have risen from 50,000 to 127,000 cases as of Wednesday.
