Today is NYC Pride's Special Broadcast Event, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the first Pride Parade.

This year's celebration is dedicated to front-line workers along with several leaders in the community who are being honored as Grand Marshals, including Dan Levee, The Ali Forney Center, Yanzi Peng and Victoria Cruz.

The special will feature a number of guest appearances, as well as performances by Janelle Monae, Deborah Cox, Billy Porter and more. It airs at noon on ABC.

This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the first Pride march in New York City and although many celebrations have been canceled or moved online, several New York landmarks have been lit up in rainbow.

In addition to the digital event, the city has illuminated both the Freedom Tower and Lincoln Center in the colors of the pride flag.

Governor Cuomo launched this initiative Friday, also lighting up the Kosciuszko Bridge and Mid-Hudson Bridge, the Whiteface Lake Placid Olympic Center, the SUNY Central Administration Building, Niagara Falls and many more.
