Have you noticed this yet? Since June 2, LinkNYC Kiosks across the five boroughs — 1,780 in total — have been displaying the names of men and women who have lost their lives due to police brutality.
The kiosks are also displaying the latest information on the curfew being imposed on NYC.
The names running include: Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Tamir Rice, Freddie Gray, Philando Castile, Sandra Bland, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd, who's death at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer has sparked nationwide protests.
"Say their names," has been one of several chants utilized by protestors over the last seven days.
A spokesperson for LinkNYC said that the names will continue to be displayed through this weekend.
