FIRST WEEK OF JUNE:

As we begin the month of June on Monday, the weather certainly won’t be giving us too many issues. A mix of sunshine and clouds are expected through Tuesday. Scattered showers and even a rumble of thunder will move in for Wednesday. Highs will reach the upper 70's and even low 80's for mid-week. A pleasant end to the week is expected with dry and comfortable conditions. Another round of showers and storms is possible to start next weekend.

HURRICANE SEASON:

June 1st marks the official start of the 2020 Hurricane Season. We’ve already had two named tropical storms. Tropical Storm Arthur formed off the coast of the southeast US and moved out to sea. Tropical Storm Bertha formed off the Carolina coast and made landfall just east of Charleston, South Carolina bringing heavy rain to that region of the country. The National Hurricane Center is now monitoring an area in the southern Gulf of Mexico for potential development. If a storm were to form, the next name on the list is Cristobal. If this storm forms before June 5th, this would break the record for the earliest 3rd named storm.
