Sunny and Breezy Today

We had some scattered clouds with us this morning but expect skies to turn sunny rather quickly. Today won’t be as breezy as yesterday but it’ll be somewhat cool with a high of only be 66 degrees. Normal highs for this point in May are in the low 70s.

How Long Can We Hold Off the Rain?

It looks like the answer to that question is - until Friday night. That area of high pressure that has been keeping us dry all week will weaken a bit as we head into the holiday weekend. That means enough moisture will sneak into the northeast to produce a few showers Friday night and a few showers on Saturday. It doesn’t look like much rain will fall but expect a few showers around.

Where’s the Summer Warmth?

It’s not here, that’s for sure. Our temperatures will barely make it to normal most of the next 7 days. This continues a mostly cooler than normal trend that started in Mid April. But hey, many of us complain about going from Winter to Summer too quickly. This year we’re getting some Spring temperatures.
