The self-proclaimed "architect of rock `n' roll," Little Richard has died.

Richard's former agent confirmed his death today. Some of Richards best known hits are "Tutti Frutti" and "Long Tall Sally."

Born in Georgia in 1932, he helped influence some of the biggest names in music, including Elvis, Paul McCartney, and Mick Jagger.

In 1993, he was presented a lifetime achievement Grammy, and played at President Bill Clinton's Inauguration.

He was 87 years old.
