We hope you had a chance to savor Thursday’s sunshine and temperatures in the 60s, because we won’t have a day this nice again until the end of next week.
In other words, big changes are on the way with a winter-like weather pattern setting up.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Temperatures in New York City will drop all the way to the 30s on Saturday morning. That hasn’t happened in the month of May in 41 years, all the way back in 1978.
Also, just north of the city in Rockland and Orange counties, we’re expecting wet snow late Friday night and early Saturday morning. For us here in the city, just cold rain is expected.
Fun (and frigid) fact: the latest we’ve ever seen flakes in NYC is May 29, 1995!
