The $119 kit includes a cotton swab that patients use to collect a sample from their nose.
The patient then mails the sample back to LabCorp using the provided packaging.
LabCorp says the kits will be available in 46 states but not New York, New Jersey, Maryland, or Rhode Island.
The company says it's prioritizing test kit access for healthcare workers and first responders.
The FDA stresses no other "at-home" testing has been approved for use yet.
