NEW YORK - The city is suing three retailers accused of price gouging items like hand sanitizer and face masks.
Hong Kong Supermarket in Chinatown received 139 violations and faces almost $70,000 in fines.

Burns Pharmacy in Forest Hills was given two dozen violations and faces up to $12,000 in fines.
And Thomas Drugs on the Upper West Side received more than 40 violations, facing up to $20,000 in penalties.
The manager at Thomas Drugs denies the allegations and says they have been charging more because they have pay a higher price to wholesalers.
NY1 reached out to the other businesses, but have not heard back.
