NEW YORK - The Manhattan District Attorney's office is considering reopening the Malcolm X murder investigation, more than five decades after the civil rights activist was killed.
DA Cyrus Vance Jr. says his office will start a preliminary review, to determine if further investigation is necessary.
Three men were convicted in the shooting, but a new Netflix documentary that premieres Friday introduces new evidence pointing in other directions.
"Who Killed Malcolm X?" claims two of the men weren't even at the scene at the time of the murder.
Malcolm X was speaking at the Audubon Ballroom in Manhattan when he was shot and killed in February 1965.
