A public memorial service will be held this week for the late New York actor Danny Aiello.
The service will take place at 2:30 p.m. this Thursday at The Riverside Memorial Chapel on the Upper West Side.
Aiello died Thursday at the age of 86, after a brief illness.
He was nominated for a best supporting actor Oscar for one of his best-known roles - Sal, the pizzeria owner in Spike Lee's "Do the Right Thing."
He is also known for his roles in "The Godfather Part II," "Moonstruck" and "Once Upon a Time in America."
Aiello played Madonna's father in the music video for her hit single "Papa Don't Preach."
