The non-profit Housing Works had a ribbon cutting for a new facility Wednesday in Midtown. The Ginny Shubert Center for Harm Reduction will serve as a hub for drug user health.
It will offer syringe exchanges, health education, and opioid overdose prevention training. Not only are the services are open to all adult New Yorkers, but the facility will help people most at risk for HIV and AIDS or anyone suffering from addiction.
It will also serve people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and income levels in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
