Super fans of superheroes descended on the AMC movie theater at Lincoln Square Tuesday for the start of a three-day marathon screening of the Avengers movies.
The $125 ticket includes screenings of all 22 movies set in the Marvel Universe. The 59-hour marathon culminates in a premiere of the latest action packed movie, Avengers: Endgame, on Thursday at 5 p.m. which is one hour earlier than public viewing.
"I want to get hyped for the conclusion of this 11-year ride that I've been on since I was in, like, eighth grade so I need to be prepared, ready to go," said Zitni Kaul.
Some fans traveled from Florida for the unique movie marathon experience.
"I believe I am the world's greatest dork so I have to-am legally bound to go to these things. I can't miss them for the world," said John Hormann.
Admission included a blanket and a toothbrush, so fans could be prepared for to stay for three straight days. A 10 to 20 minute break is scheduled between movies so moviegoers can take restroom breaks and staff can clean. Patrons are permitted to leave and return.
